What is Speak UP?

Speak UP! is a youth program offered through Newaygo County Boys and Girl's Clubs which is designed to engage 8th grade youth in leadership development and philanthropic endeavors. Each school selects a group of youth who have displayed positive leadership qualities. The selected students attend a two-day training retreat that involve them in a variety of challenging activities. Speak UP! is aligned with many of the content standards and benchmarks developed by the Learning to Give program, which parallels National and State benchmarks.
